Fully bespoke Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren seats, retrimmed in volcano orange Alcantara featuring lasered tartan pattern centres and black alcantara seat backs.

The seats are probably the most stand-out feature of the car's interior. The spec on this vehicle is very vibrant to say the least. Our customer likes their vehicles to be memorable, and we think this has been achieved with the volcano orange Alcantara.

To pay respects to the SLR 722 GT and its tartan interior, we wanted an orange tartan to match this. However, they did not make an orange tartan. This is where Formation Industries came in. Formation Industries can create essentially anything you can think of... literally, 3D printing, bespoke tools, super rare materials, lasering and much much more.  We have worked with Chris for many years on plenty of projects, so we set Chris the task of recreating tartan through his lasering machine. As you can see, this came out perfectly and we had to explain to many people at SEMA that it is indeed lasered Alcantara. Note the SLR HDK lasered belt straps and SLR HDK silhouette in the headrests.

This Ferrari 488 GTB came to d:class for a steering wheel retrim, despite only showing light signs of wear. Having recently changed hands, the new owner wanted the car to feel completely their own. Starting with the one part you touch every time you drive. A fresh wheel makes all the difference, complemented by the installation of new steering wheel buttons to complete that factory-fresh finish.

This Porsche 911 Turbo S came to d:class for a partial seat and door card retrim. The customer wanted a band of grey Alcantara flowing around the seat base and back, matched as closely as possible to the car’s exterior colour. We were also tasked with recreating the debossed ‘Turbo S’ as an embroidered logo. Finally, the door card centres were retrimmed in matching grey Alcantara, complete with OEM-style stitch lines. Not a huge job, but a well-executed and highly effective OEM-like upgrade.

This is the second Porsche 918 Spyder to come through d:class for a steering wheel retrim. The reason for this one, however, is a little unusual. The previous owner chose to cut corners by hand-painting the racing band orange... hardly the right approach on any car, let alone one of this calibre. From factory, this 918 Spyder featured a distinctive neon green racing band, designed to tie in with other signature details across the car, such as the rev needle, rear badging, and brake calipers. Naturally, the new owner wanted this put right, and the car was promptly brought to us for a wheel retrim.
