It’s not every day that we receive such a unique and vibrant request in our inbox. Our customer first reached out looking for a trim shop to assist with a current build. When we found out it was for a Porsche Spyder RS (a seriously capable machine) we were excited and asked them to send over the details. What came next stunned us. The request was bold, but we were equally impressed by their customer's bravery when it came to the colour choice. The car’s exterior is finished in Frozen Berry, a striking optional colour from Porsche, and they requested a “bright pink” interior to match.
At d:class, we can offer renders to help you when customising your interior. What this means is we can photograph your vehicle when it arrives, or edit images provided, and visualise what you are requesting. This can also help with exploring additional options, colours, and materials. We use sample photographs of materials from our sample books to ensure an accurate representation for you.
Please check out our renders below which were actually sent to our customer. This is common practice for us as we work with more companies on bigger restorations and development projects.
Starting with the dashboard and centre console, we removed the OEM grey Alcantara (aka as Race-Tex to Porsche owners) and replaced it with the pink Alcantara, with matching pink stitching. Originally the centre console was going to be left out, but the shape of the dashboard flows into the centre console, so we advised to trim these panels too.
The seats were from a GT4 which provide more support and comfort to the customer, so we had to trim them to match the rest of the vehicle. Pink Alcantara centres with new black nappa leather outers, pink stitching, and lastly an embroidered logo on the headrests.
The door card tops were black nappa leather from factory, but the customer requested that these be retrimmed in pink leather to match the vehicles new identity.
