This AC Cobra is another full interior retrim completed as part of a vehicle restoration collaboration with Redline Engineering. This is the second project we have recently carried out in partnership with Neil and his team, and the specification for this one is truly something special.

The customer requested a tan Connolly leather, and after working closely with both them and Neil from Redline, we settled on Parkside Caramel nappa leather. It was an incredible choice, the super smooth finish and rich colour work perfectly with the Guardsman Blue metallic paint. We then needed a carpet that complemented the leather equally well, so a biscuit-coloured carpet from Boyriven was selected. New dials and gauges were installed, alongside new seat harnesses.

Redline Engineering UK are the one-stop-shop for everything Cobra. Established in 2001, Neil and his hard-working team provide the best mechanical, engineering, race prep, and restoration services for AC Cobras in the country. With owner Neil originally working in the AutoKraft factory, this means we are able to all work together to create these incredible restorations.

Aside from the interior, this vehicle has been repainted in the original Guards blue metallic, which looks incredible. The wheels have been refurbished to in the original black and silver with chrome spinners, a custom exhaust system to hear that beautiful Ford V8, and a full mechanical overhaul. We have worked on plenty of Redline Cobras, but this one really takes the cake.

This Porsche 991 911 Carrera 4S belongs to another customer who has recently seen the influx of Porsches across our socials and blog. They have also requested the very sought-after houndstooth seat centre retrim. They have selected a black and red houndstooth for their seat centres and door card centres to be retrimmed in. A great choice, that also matches the black of the car and the red of the seat belts and calipers. Whilst we had the car, our customer also opted for a steering wheel retrim. Nothing crazy for this one, just a like-for-like OEM retrim to the same spec. Black nappa leather with black stitching and black racing band.

This Ferrari 488 GTB came to d:class for a steering wheel retrim, despite only showing light signs of wear. Having recently changed hands, the new owner wanted the car to feel completely their own. Starting with the one part you touch every time you drive. A fresh wheel makes all the difference, complemented by the installation of new steering wheel buttons to complete that factory-fresh finish.

This Porsche 911 Turbo S came to d:class for a partial seat and door card retrim. The customer wanted a band of grey Alcantara flowing around the seat base and back, matched as closely as possible to the car’s exterior colour. We were also tasked with recreating the debossed ‘Turbo S’ as an embroidered logo. Finally, the door card centres were retrimmed in matching grey Alcantara, complete with OEM-style stitch lines. Not a huge job, but a well-executed and highly effective OEM-like upgrade.
